Julie is a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a family and play therapist. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in Social Work, Ms. Ziff completed her clinical training in family therapy at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic and later as a clinical supervisor at the Clinic. Previously she was the Director of Social Services at Shriners Hospitals in Philadelphia and served as the clinical pediatric social worker at Albert Einstein Medical Center. She has more than 25 years' experience in counseling and in providing clinical supervision. Ms. Ziff specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of early childhood disorders, anxiety, depression, and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association for Play Therapy. Her approach is based on systems theory while utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques, directive and non-directive play as well as filial therapy, (strengthening the parent-child relationship through play).
