  • Yes! Of course each situation is unique, but we strongly believe that we are temporary in your child’s life, and as a parent, you will be there for the long haul.

  • Generally, the assessment takes about three sessions. We begin with a parent-child meeting to introduce ourselves and learn about your child and what daily life looks like. Our goal is to put your child at ease and create an atmosphere of comfort and safety. We will touch on your concerns to help the child understand the nature of the therapeutic relationship. The second session tends to be just the child, where the clinician has an opportunity to learn more from them and their wishes and challenges. You will also be given forms to complete to help us best understand your child.

The third meeting is a parent session where the clinician shares their observations and recommendations. At this time, the clinician and parents/guardians develop goals and a plan for treatment.

  • With your written permission, we can coordinate treatment goals with other important professionals in your child’s life. We will advocate for your child and attend IEP meetings if needed.

  • We currently offer both. All of our clinicians are back to providing in-person therapy services, but may work with families who prefer virtual sessions. Let us know your preference.
